Either if people see it with professional curiosity or simply as a new hobby that they can cope with their busy lives, photography is certainly an attractive discipline to many folks out there. In fact, if you are reading this, there is a high chance that you still aren’t sure what to do with photography in your life. Today I want to share with you some stuff that camera brands and photography schools won’t ever tell you about photography.
It is a Very Crowded Place
Photography’s popularity isn’t a new thing. The first huge milestone in terms of photographic discipline happened almost 120 years ago with the appearance of the Kodak Brownie camera. This $1 camera empowered society by allowing them to simply “point and shoot” in order to record from meaningful simply quotidian moments via images. Since then many people have joined photography in a sort of disciplined way, and that practice is still valid up to this day.
Photography is getting more and more crowded, and there is nothing wrong with that. In fact, that allows us as image consumers to see more interesting photos and also the social dynamic involved help us into mutually enhance our styles. The sad thing about not knowing this is that people think that making a living thanks to photography will be easy, and that is very far away from the truth.
